Why JIO !
Waves of JIO sim are not yet calm down even after official launch. As usual, Jio too have both lovers and haters ! Lets see what they say..
I have found one interesting fact; defenders of JIO are persons who use the sim and the most of the haters never used the sim and reached their view based on assumptions !
The JIO advantages as claimed by the users:
1. Free 4g net of 4 gb per day till December 2016 end.
2. Can make calls without any paisa balance. If the phone is not voLTE supported, you can use the jiocall app to make call to any network in India.
3. Relatively easier process and quick activation of SIM. Other service providers take 1 hr to 2 days while JIO gets activated in 10 minutes.
Main issues put forward by the haters
1. JIO sim exploited the greedy attitude of people by offering freebees.
2. After the welcome offer period, only unattractive offers waiting for the users.
3. The JIO sim once activated in a device, will block the phone so no other sim can be inserted.
I personaly experienced the speed of the sim and I am quite satisfied. In my personal opinion, I feel the negatives claimed by people are not a reason for keeping away from JIO. Obviously, customers want good offers and value for their time and money. If they feel JIO is giving a good offer, why should they stay away? Why dont its competitors give better offers?
Once the welcome offer period is over, user has the choice shifting to any other service provider. Mobile Number Portability has been here for some years. If you have a connection with more than 3 months, you can easily migrate to any other provider you like.
I think the third point is baseless. No sim can be blocked for a particular device. Then how Portability can be done ! Moreover, TRAI, the telecom watchdog, is monitoring all actions of service providers. In such a scenario , I cannot see any possibility of unethical practices like device blocking.
So my conclusion is that JIO is a must try for all 4g phone users. Daily 4gb free is always a superb offer especially when others charge Rs.250-300 per gb. You can enjoy freebees till Dec 31st and if you feel JIO is not good, then shift to any other service provider! simple!
After all, customer is the king, he decides the ultimate winner !
